Optimizing the Correction of Depressive Disorders in Patients with Primary Hypothyroidism

Introduction Population recent studies have shown that most patients with endocrine pathology suffer from at least one of the three DCPR syndromes: irritable mood, demoralization (despair), persistent somatization. The thyroid gland is a unique organ among glands internal secretion, in which non-psychotic mental disorders are extremely common. Therefore, use complex, integrative, systemic approach examination should be basis planning strategy and tactics treatment program for such patients. Objectives We examined 132 primary hypothyroidism. Methods used psychopathological method an adapted methodology assessing typologies psychological defence. It was Robert Plutchik by L.I.Wasserman, O.F.Eryshev, E.B.Klubova assessment next mechanisms defense: negation, projection, regression, displacement, repression, intellectualization, reactive formation, compensation. Results In 108 patients, who made up 81.12% total number investigated, various forms were detected, 23 (12.04%) had anxiety-depressive syndrome, astheno-depressive syndrome (32.41%). established excessive compensation, formation formed tendency to increased self-control, analysis introspection, self-justification, isolation, general influenced structure syndrome. Insufficient intellectualization complex contributed subjective feelings anxiety fear led avoidance problematic situations, unnatural slowness behavioral manifestations anxiety, therefore structuring depressive same time. Thus, significant connections been between intrapsychic level functioning disorders, psychotherapeutic psychocorrective measures. Conclusions This ensures endocrinologists practitioners master simplest skills providing care disorders. includes application elements rational psychotherapy, order form sense control over their own condition ability negative influences, contributes stabilization improvement quality life.
